Road signs in Hong Kong are standardised road signs similar to those used in other nations but with certain distinctions. Like Singapore, road signs in Hong Kong closely follow those used in the United Kingdom. Signs usually use the Transport Medium typeface also used in the United Kingdom, Though some signs on recently completed expressways use Transport Heavy. Newer signs often irregularly use Arial Narrow or Helvetica with or without a modified 'l', where on older signs, Transport Medium is used. Signs showing street names are usually done in Helvetica but the newest design returns to Transport Medium.
